"I worked 23 years in the auto industry making carpet for cars. The plant closed down, and I had thought about cooking for years since I always liked to cook.
I like the different aspects of the restaurant business, and I love cooking a lot better than my last job!
It’s exciting cooking for other people, not just my family. I make different things and enjoy seeing the end result, knowing what you put into it.
I would love to open my own business someday, maybe in catering. I want to work for myself.
My advice for somebody thinking of going to school is to do it. Don’t hesitate. Don’t do something you hate for half your life. You don’t know until you try."
