Program Objective
The KTI Childcare Specialist Occupational Associate degree program is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to assume an entry level position in a childcare setting such as childcare centers, nursery schools, hospitals, and family childcare homes. This comprehensive program is also appropriate for individuals who wish to operate their own facility. The growing demand for professional preschool providers makes this a field of endless possibilities.
This program concentrates on two areas: Progressive childcare and effective business management. Through classroom instruction and hands-on experience in operating childcare facilities, you will learn how to develop programs that will effectively stimulate the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth of today's youth.
