Keystone Technical Institute Wins 2007 Blood Drive Honor

The Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank has awarded Keystone Technical Institute the 2007 College Challenge Award. Competing with other area schools, KTI was honored for the greatest number of donations compared to enrollment for 2007. In a category of schools with up to 1500 students, KTI hit one out of the park with a 29% blood donation percentage. In contrast, the second place school had a 10% participation rate. "I am so proud of the students," said Karen Altland, Medical Assistant Instructor/Department Head.

A vital part of the community, the Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank (CPBB) works to promote, secure and coordinate the region's blood supply. The CPBB is a not-for-profit organization responsible for 100% of our area's blood needs.
