Community Spirit Drives Toys and Food Donations at KTI
Every year KTI sponsors a
number of programs to help
those less fortunate, and every
year the students,
staff and faculty
respond generously,
opening
their hearts and
wallets to those
who need help.
Two of the charities
supported by
KTI are Toys for
Tots and the Central
Pennsylvania Food
Bank.
Keystone Technical
Institute is an
official drop-off
site for the U.S.
Marine Corps Reserves Toys for
Tots drive that delivers new
toys and a message of hope to
the children in the Harrisburg
area. During the holiday season,
Keystone Technical Institute
and the U.S. Marine Corps
Reserves Toys for Tots ask people
to drop off new,
unwrapped toys to
the collection box at
KTI's campus. Campaign
coordinators
pick up the collected
toys and deliver them
to needy children in
time for the holidays.
The students, staff
and faculty here have
such generous spirits
that the collection
box overflowed.
Donations continued to be
accepted until December
7th.
The Central Pennsylvania Food
Bank distributes more than 15
million pounds of food and grocery
products every year to
more than 500 soup kitchens,
shelters, and food pantries in 27
central Pennsylvania counties.
These agencies directly feed thousands
of hungry families throughout
Central Pennsylvania. Keystone
Technical Institute collects
non-perishable food items from
our students, faculty, and staff as
well as from members of the surrounding
community to contribute
to this worthwhile program.
Thanks to the generosity of the
KTI family, many families won’t
be going hungry this holiday season.
Donations were accepted
until December 17th.
Author Nelson Henderson once
said: “Do all the good you can, by
all the means you can, in all the
ways you can, in all the places you
can, at all the times you can, to all
the people you can, as long as ever
you can.” The KTI
family works hard to live up to this principle.
