Food, Fun, and Friends at KTI's Picnic at the Park
August is a tough
month. It’s hot, long
and without any holidays
to shorten it. The
only thing
left to
make it
bearable is
some “fun
in the sun.”
Keystone
Technical
Students
embraced
this idea by
participating in a Picnic
at the Park on August 15, 2008.
For the nominal amount
of $2.00, students had
the opportunity to enjoy
activities such as tennis,
volleyball, and softball at Koons Park in Harrisburg.
Thanks to Chef Stiffler,
there was also a great
picnic buffet of cold cuts,
macaroni salad, potato
salad
and
other
great
foods.
Many
of the
students
also
contributed
some awesome
desserts.
Besides the traditional
picnic activities, the students
enjoyed learning
some new dances and
jumping “Double Dutch”
rope. The picnic was a big hit and was just the
right middle-of-the-week pick-me-up the
summer scholars needed
to refresh themselves.
