Dental Assisting Expanded Function

Expanded Function Dental Assisting

Upgrade your entire Dental Assistant staff with the latest technology and training in Expanded Function. KTI offers evening classes which allow a Dental Assistant to receive the required EFDA knowledge base both didactically and in practical experience. DA requires licensure in order to practice as an EFDA and one component of licensure is the successful completion of a Dental Board approved EFDA program. Included in the Expanded Function Curriculum is training in the placement and removal of rubber dams, matrix band procedures, placement and finishing of amalgam and composite restorations, use of composite resins, contouring various materials, clamps and procedures, and much more. KTI's Expanded Function curriculum is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Dentistry.
