Program Objective
The KTI Dental Assistant Diploma Program trains students to assist the dentist or dental hygienist in chair side work, as well as to aid in the preparations in the dental lab, take dental x-rays, record dental histories, record accurate charting, and other office procedures. Students are also encouraged to develop a professional attitude and a genuine desire to serve their patients in a mature and dependable manner.
Dental assistants will be trained to assume duties and responsibilities in a private dental office, dental school, hospital dental department, state and local public health departments, private dental or oral clinics, as well as, dental specialty offices. There are more than 1,000 dentists in a 60 mile radius of Harrisburg. The dental assistant should expect a rewarding future. This is an entry level dental assisting career option with valuable transferable skills.
